In Italy
GE Capital Servizi Finanziari provides auto loans and leases to consumers and companies through various auto dealers in the country. We entered the Italian auto financial market through a 1995 acquisition of Filea Leasing, a leader in the auto leasing market.
In 1997, Filea Leasing merged with Romacredit to add consumer loans to its product offering mix and acquired Vegalease to strengthen its position in the lease market. In 1998, Filea Leasing changed its name to GE Capital Servizi Finanziari (GECSF).
GECSF operates through 13 branches in major Italian cities, as well as through more than 150 agencies to align better with car dealers and service our customers more effectively.
